Funding of the altoba Foundation of the Altona Savings and Building Association eG

Since 2007, the altoba Foundation of the Altonaer Spar- und Bauverein eG has been continuously supporting projects in the Hamburg area, particularly promoting initiatives in the fields of child and youth welfare, senior citizen assistance, education, neighborhood work, and culture. In the spirit of cooperative solidarity, selected projects in schools, neighborhood centers, and cultural institutions are supported with financial grants. Additionally, there is the possibility to apply for cooperative housing allowance for members in need. Applications can be submitted at any time; there is no fixed deadline. Eligible for funding are private individuals and non-profit organizations that are members of the Altonaer Spar- und Bauverein eG and whose project falls within one of the aforementioned fields of action.

The foundation’s goal is to strengthen social cohesion and promote intergenerational activities. Through financial support, sustainable impulses are to be set that keep local engagement alive and enable participation across all age groups. The selection of funded projects is carried out by the Communications Department, which offers tailored advice and support during the application process. In this way, interested project sponsors receive a reliable funding opportunity to effectively implement their initiatives in Hamburg.
