Funding for the Outpatient Clinic for Victims of Sexual Violence

The funding of the outpatient clinic for victims of sexual violence at the Hospital of the City of Dornbirn ensures year-round, around-the-clock medical initial care for affected individuals from all over Vorarlberg. This specialized outpatient clinic has been in operation since March 1, 2002, enabling qualified examinations as well as empathetic support by specially trained staff. The aim of the funding is to permanently cover the operating costs of the clinic and thus ensure that victims of sexual violence – in most cases women – can be cared for quickly and professionally. Through the financial support of the State of Vorarlberg, costs are not passed on to the patients, thereby guaranteeing a barrier-free and confidential point of contact.

Funding is provided for a period of 24 months during which the clinic can continuously offer its services. Eligible for funding is a public institution that operates the clinic and complies with the provisions of the funding agreement. The grant funds may only be used to cover operating costs. Interested institutions can submit applications between January 1, 2025, and December 31, 2026. The funding falls within the areas of Health, Social Affairs, and Labor & Social Affairs and is specifically aimed at victims of sexual violence in Vorarlberg. The Department of Health and Sports (IVb) of the State of Vorarlberg is responsible for information and applications.
