Description

Since 1998, the Anna Luise Altendorf Foundation has supported charitable and benevolent initiatives in North Rhine-Westphalia with the aim of sustainably strengthening elderly care and the support of persons in need within the meaning of § 53 AO. Both its own projects and initiatives of tax-privileged entities such as associations or self-help groups are funded. The spectrum ranges from scientific commissions and research projects on the living conditions of older people aged 50 and above, to qualification measures in the social sector, as well as cultural events, public relations, and award ceremonies. Applicants can be private individuals as well as non-profit organizations seeking financial grants to cover event costs, research expenses, or qualification costs. Consideration of statutory alignment, social benefit, and actual financial need sets the course for targeted allocation of funds.

Continuous funding opportunities allow for flexible application submission at any time. The Anna Luise Altendorf Foundation is financed from the returns of its endowment assets as well as donations and places great emphasis on transparency and effectiveness. With a special focus on the Activity Center Am Goethepark in the Minden-Lübbecke district, low-threshold offerings for active, self-determined aging are created. The foundation promotes intergenerational dialogue and cooperates with local partners to strengthen an intact social environment. Through the awarding of the “Anna Luise Altendorf Prize,” outstanding contributions to improving the quality of life of older people are honored. Interested project leaders are welcome to submit funding applications at any time and thus contribute to the improvement of elderly care and support for those in need in NRW.
