The Anne Hennig Ballhause Foundation continuously supports community-oriented initiatives in the Rathenow region. Priority is given to projects that facilitate active participation in sports for children from low-income families and/or with special support needs. A focus is placed on swimming and basketball programs to strengthen important motor skills early on and enable social inclusion. Private individuals, non-profit organizations, educational institutions, interest groups, or clubs based in or connected to Rathenow may submit applications at any time and receive financial grants.
Furthermore, the foundation supports scientific events and research projects at Charité Berlin in the field of breast cancer. The goal is to deepen knowledge regarding prevention and treatment. Additionally, the Anne Hennig Ballhause Foundation supports measures to enhance the joy of life and self-esteem of cancer patients—from creative workshops to specially designed physical activity programs.
