Description

The Anneliese Brost Foundation supports charitable and non-profit projects in Essen and the Ruhr area, with a particular focus on youth welfare, elderly care, as well as art and culture. Eligible for funding are non-profit organizations and public institutions dedicated to supporting disadvantaged children and young people from socially weak or broken families, needy elderly persons, or cultural institutions. Selected projects may receive subsidies for personnel costs, material expenses, and travel costs. Funding requires that the project fulfills the charitable or non-profit purpose of the Foundation, is implemented within the funding area, and complies with the funding guidelines of the Anneliese Brost Foundation. Expenses incurred prior to the conclusion of the agreement are considered ineligible for funding.

The submission process takes place twice a year with deadlines at the end of February and the end of September. The application must include the fully completed application form, a project description (maximum two DIN A4 pages), a detailed cost and financing plan, a signed declaration of commitment, a completed final report template, as well as proof of non-profit status. After a positive decision, a binding agreement is concluded, in which the use of funds, economical management, and reporting obligations are contractually established. Within three months after the project’s completion, a numerical proof of use and a factual short report must be submitted. The wide range of supported initiatives enables exemplary start-up financing to achieve long-term effects in social and cultural projects. Interested organizations can submit their documents by e-mail in a timely manner and thus make a decisive contribution to practical, common-good-oriented measures in the Ruhr area.
