Description
The Arnold Dannenmann Foundation enables socially disadvantaged young people nationwide to access education and initial as well as further and continuing training when public funding is not available. Support is provided especially to boarding school students, university students, children with physical or mental disabilities, and accident victims. Young people in institutions of the Christian Youth Village Foundation of Germany (CJD) and project initiatives for international cooperation in training and educational matters can also receive assistance. The foundation grants subsidies for training and tuition fees, boarding school costs, therapeutic support, project expenses, and travel costs within the framework of international cooperation. The focus is on individual need: selection is based on social disadvantage, a proven funding gap, and evidence of rejection of statutory funding.
Applications can be submitted at any time. Requirements include an informal letter explaining the social disadvantage, the completed application form, proof of income and assets, and a statement from the respective educational institution. For preparation, the foundation’s information sheet is recommended, which provides detailed information on the application process and selection criteria. The board decides on the allocation; an adjustment or discontinuation of funding is possible if the underlying circumstances change or the intended educational goals are not achieved. With this continuous offering, the Arnold Dannenmann Foundation sets a sign for equal opportunities and strengthens the future prospects of young people in special life situations.
