Funding of the Barbara Carl Foundation

The Barbara Carl Foundation in Baden-Württemberg continuously supports non-profit organizations and public institutions engaged in assisting people in need in the South Baden region (Lörrach and Freiburg). Priority is given to projects in the fields of disability assistance, elderly care, healthcare, and youth social work. The granted subsidy aims to relieve existing organizations in their daily work over the long term and to enable stable, sustainable support services. The foundation places special emphasis on inclusive, solidarity-based, and professionally sound approaches that provide people with physical, mental, or emotional impairments equal access to care, support, and development.

Eligible for funding are exclusively non-profit organizations recognized under § 53 AO as well as public institutions based in Lörrach or Freiburg. Applications can be submitted at any time. Excluded from funding are real estate or renovation projects as well as individual case assistance measures. Application documents should include a presentation of the project plan, a cost breakdown, and proof of non-profit status. The goal is sustainable collaboration with proven local partners to effectively strengthen existing structures and to initiate new initiatives at short notice. Through a flexible awarding practice, the foundation supports both innovative ideas and established offerings that further develop the social fabric in the South Baden region and provide genuine added value to people in challenging life situations.
