Description
The Beatrice Nolte Foundation for Nature and Environmental Protection supports non-profit organizations and educational institutions throughout Germany with financial grants for projects that promote the preservation of nature and the environment or strengthen environmental awareness among children, adolescents, and adults. Funding is provided for initiatives in the areas of environmental and nature conservation, education for sustainable development, energy efficiency, climate protection, as well as training and further education. The foundation continuously allocates funds, placing particular emphasis on charitable purposes: only material costs are funded, personnel expenses are excluded. Through this clear focus on practical environmental education measures and nature conservation-related initiatives, the foundation makes an important contribution to environmental education and the preservation of biodiversity.
Applications can be submitted at any time in German via email in PDF format. A complete funding application includes a concise project description, a detailed schedule, a cost breakdown, and information on other requested or already approved funding. Upon positive decision, disbursement is made in two installments: initially about three-quarters of the funding amount at the project start, with the remainder following submission of the final accounting. Semi-annual interim reports must be submitted during the project period, and a final report with the closing accounting is required upon completion. Additionally, two photos are requested for public relations purposes, and the foundation’s support must be acknowledged in all project publications. In this way, the Beatrice Nolte Foundation promotes cost-effective measures that contribute to strengthening environmental awareness in society in the long term.
