Description
The funding for the supervision of compulsory school students in Upper Austria supports school operators of general education private compulsory schools (excluding full-day operated locations) with personnel expenses for the supervision of students up to 15 minutes before the start of lessons, during the lunch break, and after school until the departure of public transportation. The objective is to relieve the operators by having the State of Upper Austria cover up to 50% of the incurred supervision costs – a maximum of €8.75 per supervision hour. This contributes to safety and care in the compulsory school sector and ensures reliable supervision outside of teaching hours.
To apply, a written request is required along with a statement of the compensation paid out in the previous school year. The supervised group must consist of between ten and forty students. The funding is provided as a subsidy per semester, which must be submitted in writing once a year by August 31 at the latest to the Office of the Upper Austrian State Government, Directorate for Culture and Society – Department of Society. In addition to the formal application, a detailed hourly breakdown of supervision services and the formal supervision plan must be attached. With this funding, the State makes a valuable contribution to the financial planning security of private school operators and to the qualitative assurance of supervision obligations in the compulsory school sector.
