Description
The funding for agricultural consulting in Rhineland-Palatinate supports small and medium-sized enterprises in primary agricultural production to enhance their competitiveness, resource efficiency, and sustainability. Recognized consulting providers who have been active for at least two years offer neutral and product-independent advice in areas such as climate protection, biodiversity, water management, and business development. Eligible consulting costs are up to €90 net per hour, as well as flat-rate travel costs of €30 per on-site appointment. The grant amounts to up to 70% of eligible expenses, with a maximum of €2,000 per company per year; the de minimis threshold is €500. Consulting measures must be recognized and approved by the Supervisory and Service Directorate (ADD) before commencement and must align with the EU priorities for rural development.
Applications for recognition as a consulting provider and for approval of the consulting service must be submitted by October 1 of the preceding year, while payment by the ADD takes place by November 15 of the respective year. Required documents include a project description with target letters, cost and financing plan, proof of own contribution, as well as a usage report with key figures. Evaluation criteria include contribution to EU objectives, sustainability aspects, and economic relevance for business development. This grant enables agricultural enterprises to professionally and cost-effectively implement future-oriented topics such as digitalization, climate and environmental protection, and innovation management.
