Support for Mountain Rescue (Heinz Volderauer Foundation)

For more than four decades, the Heinz Volderauer Foundation has been specifically supporting mountain rescue in Bavaria, focusing on the technical equipment and operational resources of the Oberstdorf Mountain Rescue Service. Through continuous grants, modern equipment, personal protective gear, and specialized technical aids are financed, enabling rapid and effective rescue operations in alpine terrain. The foundation thereby honors the commitment of the volunteer personnel and makes a decisive contribution to ensuring that the mountain rescue teams in Oberstdorf are among the best-equipped units throughout the Bavarian Alpine region.

Only non-profit organizations affiliated with the Oberstdorf Mountain Rescue Service are eligible for funding. Applications can be submitted at any time, as the foundation offers ongoing funding opportunities. Expenses for operational resources, technical equipment, and gear that directly serve disaster protection as well as the social security of mountain rescue are supported. Interested mountain rescue teams benefit from a straightforward application process and prompt decisions regarding grants.
