Description

The Episcopal Foundation Together for Life supports non-profit associations, interest groups, and church initiative groups within the Diocese of Hildesheim with grants for projects and individual case assistance. Its goal is to promote a "culture of life" and to advocate for the dignity of human existence across diverse fields of action: from the protection of unborn life to the support of young parents and families in crisis, as well as offerings for children, adolescents, people with dementia, or the dying. Social and health initiatives, the promotion of women, and engagement for social cohesion and democracy are funded. The foundation places particular emphasis on raising awareness, networking, and the pioneering nature of innovative model projects.

Informal applications with a precise project description, information on recipients, duration, objectives, and a detailed cost and financing plan may be submitted at any time. Applicants must be based in the Diocese of Hildesheim, commit to the culture of life, and contribute a minimum of 15% own funds. Grants cover up to 85% of eligible expenses, excluding ongoing infrastructural investments. Selection is based on criteria such as subsidiarity of financing, model character, and awareness-raising. Upon project completion, a report on the use of funds must be submitted along with meaningful photographic material for the foundation’s archive. With these flexible funding opportunities, the foundation strengthens church and civil society actors and sets sustainable impulses throughout the entire diocesan area.
