Description
The BNP Paribas Foundation supports non-profit organizations, educational institutions, and public entities throughout Germany with earmarked grants for projects in the areas of education, solidarity, arts & culture, as well as environmental and climate protection. The aim is to promote social participation and dismantle barriers by providing children, adolescents, and young adults—particularly those facing social disadvantage, refugee backgrounds, or disabilities—with equal opportunities for development. Since its founding in 2015, over 120,000 people have benefited from the funding initiative. The foundation operates according to the principles of good foundation practice and is a member of the Association of German Foundations. Through its continuous funding opportunities, it enables unlimited access to financial support to implement innovative project ideas and achieve long-term impact.
Interested applicants submit a detailed project and financing plan, a project description, proof of non-profit status, and the completed funding application. Continuous submissions are possible as there are no fixed deadlines. Funding is provided for one-time or ongoing initiatives that have the potential to strengthen personal development through arts and culture, realize sustainable educational offerings, or advance climate protection—such as through energy efficiency measures and nature conservation projects. In this way, the foundation creates a space for diverse initiatives committed to equal opportunities and environmental awareness and invites the submission of funding requests that sustainably strengthen social cohesion at both local and national levels.
