Description

The Brigitte Merk-Erbe Foundation for the Promotion of Bayreuth Associations has been committed, since its recognition by the Government of Upper Franconia, to strengthening the regional club life. The focus of the funding is on non-profit organizations in Bayreuth that implement projects in the areas of social affairs, education and upbringing, arts and culture, nature and animal protection, as well as sports. The foundation works with grants to reduce financial barriers that often hinder sustainable club work. Only non-profit associations based in the city of Bayreuth, which voluntarily and actively address various social challenges, are eligible for funding.

Through this funding measure, the foundation makes a significant contribution to supporting civil society engagement in Bayreuth. By providing financial resources, existing initiatives can be further developed and new projects launched that cover both social and cultural areas. The targeted support enables organizations to implement innovative concepts that, for example, strengthen intercultural dialogue, promote youth education, or expand activities in the sports sector. Particular emphasis is placed on ensuring that all projects serve charitable, benevolent, and ecclesiastical purposes, thereby directly contributing to the improvement of social cohesion.

The continuous and ongoing allocation of grants creates a reliable basis for sustainable growth within Bayreuth associations. Through financial support, dedicated actors are enabled to further develop their projects without constant concern about funding and to build long-term structures. The foundation places great importance on transparency and the earmarked use of funds to ensure that the grant directly benefits civic engagement. In this way, not only short-term projects are supported, but also conditions are created that strengthen the entire community in Bayreuth and help meet future challenges.
