Support for the BürgerStiftung Alfeld (Project Funding in Alfeld)

The BürgerStiftung Alfeld supports non-profit organizations, associations, and educational institutions in Alfeld and the surrounding area with earmarked grants. Projects in the fields of youth, education, social affairs, sports, culture, and regional development can be applied for at any time, provided they are non-profit and demonstrate a direct benefit for the target groups on site. A prerequisite for funding is that the project location is within the city of Alfeld or its immediate surroundings, as well as a comprehensible financing plan showing how own funds and third-party funds will be used. To apply, a completed funding application, a meaningful project description, and a detailed financing plan are required. Evaluation is based on regional relevance, sustainability aspects, and the benefit for children, youth, and other target groups. The BürgerStiftung Alfeld acts as an intermediary between donors, benefactors, and volunteers on the one hand and selected projects on the other.

Thanks to the eager involvement of committed parents, teachers, and responsible parties, the foundation has been able to enable, among other things, class trips, sports and cultural offerings, equipment measures for daycare centers, career orientation projects, and numerous educational initiatives in recent years. For example, musical instruments were purchased for primary school students, schoolyard designs were implemented, and community meeting places were supported. Continuous funding is provided through the foundation’s capital and donations, which are tax-deductible. In this way, the BürgerStiftung Alfeld contributes to strengthening social cohesion and the sustainable development of the region.
