Description

Since 2010, the Citizens' Foundation for the Verden District has supported nonprofit initiatives throughout the district that sustainably strengthen community cohesion in the region. Funding is provided for projects in the areas of child and youth development, sports, arts and culture, monument and heritage preservation, as well as animal welfare. Eligible to apply are registered associations and public institutions based in the Verden District whose projects align with the statutory purposes of their own organization and the foundation’s funding objectives. Continuous applications are possible, with general and ongoing costs, personnel expenses, travel, as well as already initiated measures or ongoing funding excluded. Evaluation is based on the alignment with statutory and funding purposes as well as the regional relevance to the Verden District.

To apply, a fully completed and signed funding application on the official form is sufficient. Supplementary documents are not required, provided the project idea is clearly outlined and serves the regional objectives. Grants are awarded to specifically support impulses for sustainable projects and effectively implement new ideas. The Citizens' Foundation invites associations and institutions to submit their innovative concepts at any time and thus actively contribute to the common good in the Verden District. The straightforward process enables rapid funding and promotes the long-term development of nonprofit engagement.
