Support for the Furtwangen Community Foundation (Project Funding & Individual Case Assistance)

The Furtwangen Citizens' Foundation continuously awards grants for charitable projects and urgent individual assistance in the Baden-Württemberg region. Funding is provided to private individuals, non-profit organizations, interest groups, associations, and educational institutions with their headquarters or residence in Furtwangen. The aim is to strengthen social initiatives, youth and elderly care, health projects, educational offerings, cultural events, civic engagement, monument preservation, as well as support in personal emergencies. Applications can be submitted at any time through the board or foundation council and are based on regional relevance, public benefit, and compliance with the foundation’s statutes. This commitment helps to maintain Furtwangen as a livable and diverse city and brings together people who wish to engage in sustainable development.

Eligible expenses include costs for project materials, event and program expenses, as well as one-time assistance to overcome individual emergencies. Retroactive expenses or debt repayments are not considered. To submit an application, a project description, details on the purpose of use for individual assistance, and contact information of the applicants are required. Selection is made according to clearly defined evaluation criteria: relevance to the statutes, need or public benefit, and local connection. Through this transparent process, the foundation ensures responsible use of funds and supports initiatives that promote social cohesion and make Furtwangen future-proof.
