Support for the Pfalz Community Foundation

The funding by the Bürgerstiftung Pfalz supports non-profit organizations, public institutions, and private individuals in Rhineland-Palatinate with grants for innovative, exemplary projects. The goal is to jointly identify regional challenges – including population decline, village decay, climate adaptation, educational inequality, and integration – together with local stakeholders and to test effective solution approaches. The thematic areas range from regional development through agriculture and energy efficiency to culture, migration, and social issues. Successful pilot projects are further developed and scaled in practice, so that positive effects become noticeable far beyond individual locations. The foundation places special emphasis on sustainable impact in rural communities and promotes initiatives that strengthen self-responsibility and networking as well as establish future-proof structures.

The funding is particularly aimed at committed local initiators who want to revitalize village structures together with the Bürgerstiftung Pfalz, implement environmental and climate protection projects, or make educational offerings more accessible. Applications can be submitted continuously, ensuring flexible project starts and quick decisions. Through the grant, participants can address local needs and develop tailored solutions in dialogue with experts. Continuous support from the foundation as well as exchange within a network of already over 30 village foundations offer a valuable platform for knowledge transfer and joint learning processes. This creates a vibrant community that sets sustainable impulses for the future of the Palatinate.
