Funding of the Visselhövede Citizens' Foundation (Project Applications)

The Bürgerstiftung Visselhövede enables year-round project funding for non-profit associations, initiatives, and clubs based or active in Visselhövede and the surrounding area. The goal is to strengthen quality of life, community spirit, and civil society responsibility locally. Funding is provided for measures in the fields of child and youth welfare, elderly care, arts and culture, sports, education, environmental and nature conservation, animal protection, as well as engagement for democracy and social cohesion. Support is granted in the form of sponsorship funds to cover financial expenses and is based on criteria such as sustainable impact, social relevance, a clear connection to the city of Visselhövede, and practical financial and implementation feasibility.

Applications can be submitted at any time. Prerequisites include proof of non-profit status, a written application with a financing plan, and a clearly formulated project objective. The selection process is guided by alignment with the statutory funding purposes according to the German Fiscal Code and is conducted by the board and advisory council. The project description should consider the target group, communication strategy, and potential cooperation partners. After a positive decision, the foundation supports the implementation financially and presents funded initiatives on its website.
