Support for the Weikersheim Citizens' Foundation

The Weikersheim Citizens' Foundation continuously promotes civic engagement in the Baden-Württemberg region and is aimed at private individuals, non-profit organizations, interest groups, as well as other associations based in Weikersheim or one of its districts. Projects and initiatives that do not qualify for public funding and contribute to the thematic areas of social cohesion and democracy, education, culture, environmental and nature conservation, social affairs, science, sports, work & social issues, vocational training, culture & media, as well as energy efficiency & climate protection are supported. Through these diverse funding areas, forward-looking projects are enabled that strengthen the community and create sustainable impulses locally. Eligible to apply are all project sponsors who wish to support social interaction and the preservation of cultural, ecological, or scientific structures in Weikersheim with their initiatives.

An informal application for participation in the program can be submitted at any time. A prerequisite is proof of residence in Weikersheim or one of its districts, as well as the waiver of parallel public funding for the same project. The required document to be submitted is the completed application form of the Weikersheim Citizens' Foundation (PDF), in which the project description, objectives, and planned financial requirements are outlined. After a positive decision, the funds must be drawn by the end of the following year. Through the clear structure of the application process and the open submission possibility, the foundation offers effective support for all those who wish to engage sustainably in the community and realize innovative projects.
