Description

The Caritas Community Foundation Krefeld is committed to sustainably strengthening social initiatives in the Krefeld/Meerbusch region. With its foundation assets, it supports projects in the areas of social affairs, child and youth promotion, education, health, care, as well as engagement for social cohesion and democracy. The focus is on both child and educational offerings as well as family and participation initiatives. Funding is provided for projects targeting sick, elderly, or socially disadvantaged individuals, as well as for self-developed concepts by non-profit organizations and private individuals within the Caritas context. The funds are granted in the form of subsidies, with only the interest income from the foundation’s capital being used for disbursements. This ensures the capital remains permanently intact and guarantees long-term planning security for vulnerable target groups.

Interested social service providers, associations, and individuals may submit applications year-round, provided that their registered office or project location is in Krefeld/Meerbusch and the projects are implemented within the framework of Caritas work. Thus, the foundation not only supports established aid services but also creates space for innovative ideas that contribute to strengthening social cohesion. Through close linkage with existing Caritas structures, applicants benefit from a dense network and many years of expertise. This ongoing grant opportunity supports both voluntary and professional engagement equally and makes an important contribution to securing and further developing social services in North Rhine-Westphalia.
