Description

The Carl and Marisa Hahn Foundation continuously supports non-profit organizations, educational institutions, and public bodies in Lower Saxony and Saxony with financial grants for innovative project ideas. Projects are funded in the areas of education and upbringing, elderly care, charitable purposes, monument preservation, art and culture, as well as science and research. While the focus for all thematic fields is on Wolfsburg and the surrounding districts as well as Chemnitz and Zwickau, funding for scientific and research-oriented projects is possible nationwide. The aim is to strengthen regional infrastructure and cultural coexistence, facilitate social participation, and preserve historic buildings. Through the flexible submission of funding applications at any time, initiatives can be implemented promptly and without bureaucratic hurdles.

Eligible to apply are non-profit organizations with a tax exemption certificate according to § 10 EStG and a project location in the aforementioned regions (exception: science and research). Applications must be submitted via an online form on the Foundation’s website. Required documents include, in addition to the tax exemption certificate, a detailed project description, a financing plan, a timeline, and visual material related to the project. The decision on the grant is made after reviewing the professional quality, the need, and the viability of the financing concept. By supporting sustainable educational, social, and cultural projects, the Foundation contributes to strengthening social cohesion in the funding regions while simultaneously promoting forward-looking research projects without geographical restrictions.
