Description

Since 1991, the Charlotte Steppuhn Foundation has been supporting projects aimed at the healthcare and health promotion of children in Germany and worldwide. Through its grant program, it supports non-profit organizations, initiatives, and individual children in need to sustainably reduce infant and child mortality. Funded measures cover the areas of health, children and youth, development cooperation, labor & social affairs, as well as agriculture & rural development. The funds benefit institutions such as children's hospitals, outpatient clinics, and schools for disadvantaged children, as well as individual sponsorships and case-by-case assistance.

Eligible for funding are non-profit organizations and private individuals who can provide proof of non-profit status or individual need. Applications can be submitted on an ongoing basis, with evaluation based on the project's benefit to children, a convincing financing plan, and long-term sustainability. The foundation places particular emphasis on projects that provide both immediate aid and strengthen lasting structures. The program offers flexible grants for equipping medical facilities, supporting vulnerable families, and training professionals. Interested applicants can find further information and funding conditions on the Charlotte Steppuhn Foundation's website.
