Funding of the ChildFund Foundation gGmbH

The ChildFund Foundation gGmbH, as a branch organization of ChildFund Germany, supports nonprofit institutions, educational establishments, public entities, and private individuals nationwide who wish to implement sustainable development projects in developing countries. Within the framework of ongoing calls for proposals, grants are awarded for initiatives in the areas of education, nutrition, health, women's empowerment, business start-ups, climate protection as well as social issues and energy efficiency. A prerequisite for funding is collaboration with local partners within the ChildFund network and alignment of the projects with one of the defined focus areas. Applications can be submitted at any time, enabling quick funding decisions and flexible project planning.

Particularly supported are projects that create sustainable benefits for children, youth, women, and rural communities. The foundation places great emphasis on involving regional stakeholders as well as on the long-term impact of the measures on site. Evaluation is based on the criteria of sustainability of the initiative, relevance to the target group, and partnership cooperation. Ideally, projects aim to strengthen local structures, promote income security, or improve educational offerings. Through regular reports and success monitoring, it is ensured that funds reach where they generate the greatest added value.
