The Christiana Foundation supports nonprofit aid organizations nationwide with interest-free grants for projects in medical assistance, hunger and disaster relief, as well as in development cooperation. Recognized organizations can submit funding applications on an ongoing basis to establish, for example, mobile clinics, nutrition programs, or agricultural initiatives in rural areas. In addition to short-term emergency aid, the foundation places special emphasis on sustainable concepts that contribute to stabilizing health systems and improving livelihoods in disadvantaged regions. Projects in the areas of labor & social affairs as well as rural development programs that create employment opportunities and strengthen social participation are also funded. The flexible application process without deadlines enables aid organizations to finance spontaneous deployments following natural disasters as well as long-term infrastructure measures.
