Funding by the City Foundation Berlin (non-profit urban/cultural projects "The Blue Heart")

The City Foundation Berlin supports temporary cultural and urban space projects in Berlin and Brandenburg under the banner "The Blue Heart." Private individuals, interest groups, associations, non-profit organizations, companies, and public institutions can submit grant applications at any time. Funding is provided for performances, actions, and installations that contribute to the design and beautification of inner-city streets, squares, monuments, and buildings. Projects that strengthen social cohesion and democratic engagement locally through community-oriented partnerships or charity initiatives are also a focus. The selected projects align with the foundation's mission to create a livable and lovable urban space through culture.

Support is provided continuously and targets committed initiatives from the fields of urban development, culture, regional development, social work, as well as agriculture and rural development. A prerequisite for funding is that the project location is in Berlin or Brandenburg and that it aligns with the goals of the City Foundation Berlin. Selected projects receive financial resources to implement ideas for activating urban spaces, fostering community, and enabling cultural encounters. Interested project sponsors can submit their applications at any time and promote the development of diverse cultural productions and urban development measures.
