Promotion of Monument and Local Heritage Conservation

In Burgenland, a continuously open grant supports the careful maintenance and restoration of secular as well as sacred monuments. Funding is provided particularly for historic castles, palaces, churches, and listed private buildings, with the aim of preserving the regional heritage and ensuring an attractive local streetscape. The funding is equally directed at owners of publicly accessible buildings as well as owners of private cultural monuments. The decision is made based on the Burgenland Cultural Funding Act, which forms the legal basis for this direct funding.
