Description
Since 2005, the Diakonie Foundation Krefeld-Viersen has continuously supported the social services of the Diaconal Work in North Rhine-Westphalia. Its capital income is used primarily to support projects aimed at children and adolescents, homeless people, over-indebted individuals, long-term unemployed persons, sexually abused persons, as well as refugees. As long-term grants, the funds strengthen non-profit organizations and public institutions affiliated with the Diaconal Work Krefeld-Viersen. The foundation’s goal is to enable sustainable assistance and create long-term prospects for disadvantaged people – in line with the motto “Creating hope – shaping the future.”
Eligible for funding are exclusively non-profit organizations and public institutions in the North Rhine-Westphalia region whose projects are anchored in the fields of social affairs, children and youth, migration, as well as work & social services. Applications can be submitted at any time; there is no fixed deadline. A prerequisite is affiliation with the Diaconal Work Krefeld-Viersen. The grants are awarded as non-repayable subsidies and finance both ongoing and planned measures equally. Through the tax-privileged structure of the foundation, capital income can be preserved and made available in the long term. Applicant organizations can thus secure and expand their assistance services permanently.
