Description

Since its founding in 2008, the DMK Foundation – Living Together in Lower Saxony has supported church-diaconal projects for the care of elderly and needy people at the Diaconal Motherhouse in Bad Harzburg. Funding is provided for technical equipment and material procurement as well as the maintenance and upkeep of the necessary premises. In addition, financial support is directly allocated to personnel measures so that qualified pastoral caregivers and nursing professionals can sustainably offer theological and pastoral services. Public relations work to strengthen diaconal engagement completes the funding profile. Applications can be submitted continuously without a minimum deadline, allowing applicants to receive support flexibly and promptly.

Non-profit organizations and public institutions benefit from grants specifically tailored to diaconal care and support at the Motherhouse. The goal is to promote a compassionate community that counters loneliness and enables residents to live in a dignified environment. With a growing capital base from endowments and donations, the foundation secures its long-term earning capacity, while project-specific funds are used immediately. Interested institutions receive detailed information about eligible expenses and application procedures directly from the foundation – a direct link in the respective program documents is deliberately omitted here to keep the focus on the funding purpose.
