Description
The Dr. Robert Pfleger Foundation supports nationwide tax-recognized non-profit, charitable, or church-serving institutions in the implementation of innovative medical research projects and social-charitable initiatives benefiting needy individuals. Funding applications can be submitted twice a year: by February 28 for the decision in May and by September 30 for the session in November. Applications can only be submitted via the designated online tool, with expenses for advertising, printing, and travel not eligible for funding. The application process is considered complete only upon receipt of an automatic confirmation of submission.
Founded in 1974 according to the testamentary provisions of Dr. Robert Pfleger, the foundation finances its grants from the proceeds of Dr. Pfleger Arzneimittel GmbH. In addition to regular project grants, it awards the Robert Pfleger Research Prize every two years, endowed with 50,000 euros, for outstanding scientific achievements in medicine. The aim is to provide sustainable impetus in research and social care and to make innovative approaches accessible to needy target groups. A prerequisite for funding is recognition as a non-profit, charitable, or church-serving institution, as well as a clearly defined project in the field of medical research or social-charitable assistance.
