Description

The project funding of the Don Bosco Foundation Chemnitz is aimed at non-profit and public institutions as well as educational organizations in Saxony that are committed to child and youth work, school social work, cultural and educational offerings, as well as environmental and climate protection. With annually offered grants, fees, equipment, trips, catering, accommodations, and other project measures at the Don Bosco House Chemnitz are supported. Through the continuous submission of applications, initiatives in the fields of circus pedagogy, leisure and experiential education, as well as training and further education, have the opportunity to implement their concepts flexibly. The goal is to create an attractive living and learning space in this neighborhood where young people can unfold their creativity, strengthen social skills, and develop environmental awareness.

Particularly supported are offerings for young participants from Chemnitz and the surrounding area as well as educational professionals and volunteers who implement interactive educational and cultural formats. For example, the foundation enables circus projects such as the children’s and youth circus "Birikino," supports theater and literature events within the framework of school social work, and promotes excursions as well as environmental education design projects in the courtyard of the Don Bosco House. By covering costs for technical equipment, fees, and travel expenses, the foundation makes a decisive contribution to strengthening social participation and educational opportunities. Interested organizations and institutions can submit a funding request at any time to utilize the diverse possibilities of this grant program and set new impulses for child and youth work in Chemnitz.
