Support for Village Renewal (VV-Village)

The funding for village renewal in Rhineland-Palatinate supports the sustainable and future-oriented strengthening of rural communities. Municipal and private measures can be implemented with grants according to the administrative regulation VV-Dorf (as of 21.08.2024). The focus is on stabilizing village centers, preserving and renewing architecturally significant building fabric, and securing local basic services. Additional priorities include the repurposing of vacant properties, restoring the unity of village and landscape, and creating local employment opportunities. Accompanying information, education, and advisory services within the framework of village moderation complete the program and strengthen civic engagement on site.

Interested local municipalities, collective municipalities, district administrations, and private owners of architecturally significant buildings may submit applications throughout the year. The prerequisite is that the project is located in a village in Rhineland-Palatinate and that the submission is made via the responsible local and collective municipality or district administration. The application must include, among other documents, the grant application form, a checklist for building measures, a statement of own contributions, and a declaration from the grant recipient. After approval by the Supervisory and Service Directorate Rhineland-Palatinate, fund disbursement and proof of use are required. This funding makes a valuable contribution to revitalized local development and helps to make rural areas sustainable and vibrant.
