Description
The Dr. Barbara Schenk-Zitsch Foundation supports innovative projects year-round in social fields of action in Schriesheim as well as the districts of Altenbach and Ursenbach. The focus is on supporting non-profit kindergartens, schools, associations, and social organizations dedicated to the promotion of children and youth, inclusion, and accessibility. The so-called seed funding enables pilot projects that have not yet started and strengthen self-help principles through outstanding civic engagement. The grants complement municipal and state funds to implement creative educational and training initiatives, measures for social participation, and projects to improve the accessibility of facilities in an agile manner.
Eligible for funding are legal entities with recognized non-profit status from Baden-Württemberg, including educational institutions, interest groups, and associations. A prerequisite is proof that the project lies outside municipal mandatory tasks, can be implemented promptly and independently, and that follow-up financing can be secured. In the selection process, the model character, self-help, feasibility, and the degree of civic engagement play a central role. Applications are submitted informally in writing, accompanied by a completed application form and a detailed project description, and can be submitted at any time.
