Funding of the Dr. Kiti Maluche Foundation (Project Grants City of Harzgerode)

The Dr. Kiti Maluche Foundation annually supports charitable projects in the city of Harzgerode and promotes initiatives that strengthen social cohesion and serve the common good. Funded are projects in the areas of child, youth, and elderly welfare, culture and arts, traditional customs and heritage preservation, education and upbringing, sports, building and monument protection, as well as engagement for social cohesion and democracy. Eligible to apply are registered associations, non-profit organizations, as well as individuals with proven charitable status. The foundation places special emphasis on voluntary commitment and the relevance of the projects for citizens and urban development.

A written application with a detailed project description, financing requirements, timeframe, and desired funding amount must be submitted by February 20 of each year. Required documents include proof of non-profit status, detailed information on the concept and target group, as well as an overview of other funding sources. Selection is made by the foundation’s board based on criteria such as feasibility, significance for the city and its citizens, and voluntary involvement. The decision will be communicated in writing, with possible recommendations for future applications. Project partners are requested to provide regular reports on funding progress and public relations activities so that the foundation’s successes can be transparently presented and synergies within the local community can be promoted.
