Funding by the Dr. Rainer Märklin Foundation (Music School & Youth Art School Reutlingen)

The Dr. Rainer Märklin Foundation is committed to supporting musically and artistically gifted children, adolescents, and groups of the Music and Youth Art School of the Volkshochschule Reutlingen. Particular focus is placed on those talents whose families would otherwise be unable to afford tuition or project costs. Through targeted financial and time contributions, the foundation enables access to instrumental lessons, creative workshops, and ensemble projects. In doing so, it contributes to the sustainable strengthening of cultural education in Baden-Württemberg and creates spaces where individual potentials can unfold. The continuously announced funding opportunities underscore the long-term commitment to vibrant musical youth education and diverse creative education for children and young people.

Applications are open to all exceptionally talented participants of the Music School and Youth Art School of VHS Reutlingen who can provide proof of talent as well as demonstrable financial need. The evaluation criteria include the level of artistic ability, the urgency of financial support, and the quality of the submitted concept. The application must include a description of special skills and goals, work samples or artistic certificates, as well as evidence of previous achievements. The foundation board decides on the allocation of funds in regular meetings. There is no legal entitlement to funding. Thus, the broadly designed support makes an important contribution to equal opportunities and the development of the creative talents of young people.
