Description

The Guideline for the Promotion of Voluntary Activities of Integration Guides in Saxony-Anhalt supports districts and independent cities in the care, counseling, and accompaniment of asylum seekers, tolerated persons, and EU citizens. Public institutions receive a 100% subsidy with a base amount of €25,000 as well as additional funding based on the regional reception quota. The aim is to improve social participation and sustainably strengthen cohesion in the municipalities through targeted recruitment, qualification, guidance, and coordination of volunteers.

A prerequisite for a successful application is a comprehensive care concept that describes the needs, objectives, and content of the integration guides’ activities as well as the procedure for qualification and coordination. Districts and independent cities must appropriately reference the funding by the Ministry of Labor, Social Affairs, Health and Equality and duly acknowledge the commitment of volunteers, for example through certificate presentations. Funding covers not only the operational deployment of the integration guides but also the costs for recruitment, training, and necessary material resources. Ongoing funding opportunities enable long-term planning and contribute to sustainably expanding local integration structures in Saxony-Anhalt.
