Description

The One-Tenth Foundation supports non-profit associations and interest groups based in Germany that primarily engage in development cooperation in developing countries with volunteer staff. Focusing on projects from the greater Heidelberg and Stuttgart areas, the foundation continuously provides grants that exclude administrative or personnel costs and directly benefit those in need on site on a 1:1 basis. Beneficiaries enjoy flexible application procedures: informal submissions are possible at any time, and the foundation board makes decisions quarterly.

Projects with a duration of 12 to 24 months are funded, targeting basic services (food, water, medical aid), school education and training, climate protection, as well as inclusion and self-help assistance. Requirements include a significant own contribution relative to total costs, feasibility of small, completed sub-projects, and close voluntary involvement of the applicants. Ongoing operating costs, travel expenses, salaries of association members, as well as sponsorships or scholarships are not eligible for funding. A completed project application and the latest financial report are required for the application. The foundation invites interested organizations to submit their project ideas and jointly bring the principle of sharing and solidarity to life.
