Promotion of the Establishment of Dormitories S.WFG 2025

The “Promotion of the Establishment of Residential Homes S.WFG 2025” supports the planning and implementation of senior residences, homes for people with special care needs, as well as student accommodations in the Salzburg region. Eligible applicants include municipalities, municipal associations, legal entities solely owned by municipalities, non-profit and commercial developers, as well as corporations, associations, and asset pools with ecclesiastical, non-profit, or charitable objectives. The primary funding goal is to create demand-oriented living spaces for elderly people, individuals with increased care requirements, and learners, with the funding provided as a non-repayable grant.

The grant amounts to €50,000 per housing unit for senior and care homes, €30,000 for student accommodations, and €40,000 for units with multiple beds. Prerequisites for support include, among others, a legally binding building permit, an energy performance certificate for planning, timely submission of the funding application before construction begins, as well as ownership of the land or building rights for at least 66 years. The maximum project funding duration is 300 months, and fund allocation begins on February 1, 2025, as long as the budget of €4.5 million is not exhausted. On-site inspections by the responsible state departments ensure the proper use of the funding.
