Description
Since January 1, 2014, the State of Burgenland, as a public institution, has supported several areas such as disaster protection and labor & social affairs through direct grants for the acquisition of modern firefighting and disaster response equipment. With a budgeted volume of up to 1 million euros in total, local fire brigades and disaster protection depots at the state and district levels are particularly supported. As applications can be submitted continuously until the budget is exhausted, both short-term needs and long-term investment planning can be covered. This measure makes an essential contribution to the effectiveness and operational readiness of responders by providing municipal hazard prevention structures with high-quality equipment. The grant can be used for both new acquisitions and replacement purchases.
A prerequisite for a positive approval is the formal submission of a funding application. In addition to the completed application, invoices for the investments made must be submitted to verify the eligible expenses for firefighting technology and disaster response equipment. The processing is carried out by the responsible specialist departments of the Burgenland state government, which also provide regular advisory services. Through its clear focus on public carriers and transparent allocation, the program offers a reliable financial basis for the modernization of life-saving equipment. Interested organizations can obtain detailed information on requirements and application procedures directly from the funding offices of Burgenland. As part of performance monitoring, inspection of invoices and payment transactions is also provided to ensure the proper use of funds.
