Funding of the Frederic von Anhalt Foundation

The Frederic von Anhalt Foundation supports charitable and benevolent initiatives as well as private individuals nationwide through financial grants and in-kind contributions. The focus is on projects related to child and youth welfare as well as social services, particularly in cases of medical need. Funding is provided both for one-time acquisitions, such as therapy chairs or other aids, and for ongoing care costs. A key concern is ensuring medical care and support measures in emergency situations. Furthermore, tax-privileged organizations with similar funding purposes may receive funds and commission empirical research projects on the sociological situation of disadvantaged children and youth. The foundation guarantees that all grants are used exclusively to fulfill its statutory purposes.

Applications can be submitted at any time. Eligible recipients are tax-privileged charitable or benevolent organizations according to § 53 AO as well as needy private individuals. Proof of tax-privileged status and documented high degree of medical need are required. Evaluation criteria include the extent of social hardship, the charitable nature of the applicants, and alignment with the foundation’s objectives. Eligible expenses include direct financial assistance for medical services, in-kind donations such as therapy equipment, and care costs. Through continuous funding practices, the foundation makes a sustainable contribution to the quality of life of socially disadvantaged children and youth in Germany, thereby strengthening social infrastructure at both local and supraregional levels.
