Promotion of Outdoor and Indoor Swimming Pools

Since May 15, 2013, the state application procedure in Burgenland has been financially supporting publicly accessible outdoor and indoor swimming pools. Public institutions as well as non-profit organizations can submit an informal funding application for renovation and enhancement measures. The aim of the grant is to secure infrastructural provision in the municipalities and to maintain bathing facilities in a contemporary manner. The endowed funding is provided as a one-time grant and is continuously available up to a budget volume of 0.1 million euros until exhausted.

A prerequisite for funding is the unrestricted accessibility of the swimming and bathing facilities to the general public. Payments are made exclusively upon submission of a detailed cost statement along with original receipts. Eligible expenses include measures such as pool repairs, energy-efficient modernizations, enhancements to attractiveness through equipment, or barrier-free access. In addition to the informal application, the cost plan and copies of receipts must be submitted. The office of the Burgenland state government ensures prompt processing and decision-making in close coordination with the applicants.
