Description

The Freiburg Citizens' Foundation supports charitable initiatives and projects in Freiburg and the surrounding communities throughout the year with financial grants. Eligible for funding are associations, public institutions, and companies dedicated to the statutory purposes of the foundation. Projects with a high level of volunteer involvement, model character, sustainable impact, innovative approach, or self-help assistance are given priority. Individuals, commercial events, and politically or religiously motivated groups are excluded from funding.

Funding applications can be submitted at any time via the official form. The decision is based, in addition to the statutory funding areas, on the following criteria: charitable status, project location in Freiburg or the surrounding area, and alignment with the statutory purposes. For a complete application, the following must be submitted: funding application, project description, financing plan, and information about the institution. Upon receipt, the board decides on the grant. The Freiburg Citizens' Foundation thus offers local actors the opportunity to implement innovative and sustainable projects in the region and to promote social engagement in the long term.
