Description
The Foundation Community of Sparkasse KölnBonn enables non-profit organizations, educational institutions, public entities, interest groups, and associations from North Rhine-Westphalia to have their projects funded at any time and without bureaucracy. From the proceeds of the foundation’s capital, initiatives in the fields of science & research, health, child, youth and elderly care, arts & culture, education & upbringing, environmental and nature conservation, social affairs, women’s advancement, sports, animal protection, development cooperation, infrastructure & urban development, as well as energy efficiency & climate protection are supported. In addition to a strong regional focus on Cologne and Bonn, projects outside these two cities can also be funded. A prerequisite for funding is recognition of non-profit status, a project objective within the foundation’s purposes, and a location in the region or beyond. Evaluation criteria include alignment with the foundation’s purpose, societal and regional benefit, and the sustainability of the initiatives.
A wide range of initiatives that contribute to social cohesion and set future-oriented impulses are supported. Whether monument preservation, civic engagement, disaster relief, work & social affairs, or media and cultural promotion – the broad funding spectrum ensures that every committed idea is heard. Applications can be submitted continuously, allowing for flexible planning and rapid implementation of project proposals. With the long-standing experience and expertise of the Foundation Community, non-profit sponsors are provided with a reliable basis to sustainably strengthen social engagement and effectively accompany positive developments in the Cologne/Bonn region and far beyond.
