Funding of the Community Foundation Kolpingwerk Germany

The Kolpingwerk Germany Community Foundation supports projects and initiatives nationwide with grants that strengthen social cohesion, advance educational and qualification offerings, and promote children, youth, and families. In addition to youth welfare and school-based education and training, projects in the fields of agriculture, rural development, and international development cooperation are also emphasized. Both non-profit organizations and public institutions, as well as private individuals, companies, and foundations, can submit applications at any time. The foundation provides its funds from donations and endowments, thereby enabling long-term impact—from local meeting places to cross-border partnerships.

Applicants benefit from a flexible funding structure without fixed application deadlines, allowing projects to be implemented quickly and unbureaucratically. Selection is based on effectiveness, sustainability, and contribution to social cohesion. A special focus is placed on innovative concepts that promote democratic engagement and community spirit. Decision-making authority lies with the foundation’s board and advisory council, ensuring transparency and purpose binding. Through close cooperation with regional Kolping families, a strong network of experienced actors is created, supporting project sponsors in consulting and communication.
