Funding from the Gerhard Krieger Foundation (Grants for Driver's License Training & Driving Lessons)

The Gerhard Krieger Foundation in Hesse supports private novice drivers and older re-entrants from Dietzenbach who require assistance due to economic hardship (§ 53 No. 2 AO) in obtaining or renewing their driving license. The focus is particularly on driving students with a migration background as well as individuals who wish to revive their driving skills after a long break. Through financial subsidies for training costs related to the driving license and practical driving lessons, as well as individual reading assistance for foreign nationals, both mobility and integration are equally promoted. The funding initiative is offered continuously and helps to reduce barriers as well as improve social participation in the labor and education sectors.

Proof of residence in Dietzenbach is mandatory for the application; furthermore, proof of economic need and either a migration background or status as an older re-entrant are prerequisites. Eligible expenses include training costs for the driving license, costs for practical driving lessons, and reading assistance. Copies of the identity card or passport, driving school registration or driving lesson receipts, income statements of all household members, proof of child benefit, and – after passing the exam – the driving license certificate must be attached. Applications can be submitted at any time. This grant combines charitable aid with targeted promotion of mobility, education, and integration, thereby making an important contribution to equal opportunities locally.
