Funding of the Gerhard and Ellen Zeidler Foundation

The Gerhard and Ellen Zeidler Foundation is committed nationwide to the preservation of natural habitats and the protection of endangered animal species. Through financial grants, it supports regional and supra-regional projects in the fields of environmental/nature conservation, climate protection, energy efficiency, and animal welfare. The focus is on measures for habitat and species protection as well as on supporting animal welfare associations, corporately organized animal shelters, and zoological gardens. Projects anchored in Waldkraiburg and the surrounding area are given priority if they are equally worthy of funding. The flexible application process enables initiators to register needs promptly and thus implement conservation ideas directly.

Funding is provided to non-profit organizations as well as public institutions that pursue a clear funding purpose in nature and animal protection. Recognition of non-profit status by a current tax office notice is a prerequisite. A fully completed application form, a detailed project description, and a transparent financing plan form the basis of every submission. Additionally, copies of the non-profit status certificate and evidence of fund usage – for example, in the form of annual or final reports – must be submitted. Since funding applications are reviewed at any time, the foundation continuously offers committed organizations the opportunity for financial support.
