Description

The Gronewald Foundation specifically supports the education and training as well as the upbringing of hearing-impaired children, adolescents, and young adults in the greater Cologne area. In its non-profit mission, it particularly promotes the Cultural and Educational Center for the Deaf in Cologne as well as the LVR Johann Joseph Gronewald School. Grants are allocated to projects that strengthen inclusion and participation, design barrier-free learning opportunities, and enable social integration. The foundation was established in 2015 through the merger of the Dr. Gertrud Best Foundation and the Stiftung Verein Taubstummenhilfe in Köln e. V., building on a decades-long tradition of providing sustainable support to hearing-impaired individuals through valuable funding measures.

Eligible for funding are non-profit organizations and educational institutions in North Rhine-Westphalia engaged in child and youth welfare, education and training, as well as in the fields of labor and social affairs. Applications for ongoing grants can be submitted at any time, enabling long-term planning and sustainable programs. The Gronewald Foundation thus makes an important contribution to strengthening educational opportunities and social participation for hearing-impaired children and adolescents. Interested organizations can obtain further information about the funding criteria and application procedures on the funding institution’s website.
