Description

The Gudrun Waidmann Foundation supports innovative nationwide projects in elderly care and charitable initiatives that enable seniors in need to live self-determined lives. Eligible for funding are non-profit organizations, public institutions, as well as private individuals who develop alternative housing models or novel care and support concepts. The foundation also promotes measures that ensure remaining in the familiar living environment and grants subsidies for exemplary care of older people in accordance with § 53 No. 1 AO. Through continuous project funding, particular emphasis is placed on sustainability and interdisciplinary cooperation with relatives and professionals to create adequate living conditions and enhance quality of life in old age.

In addition to direct project funding, the Gudrun Waidmann Foundation also supports public training and continuing education events for nursing professionals and caregiving relatives. The goal is to actively shape demographic change, promote innovative milieu-therapeutic concepts, and strengthen the recognition of the human dignity of older people. Applications can be submitted at any time; there is no legal entitlement to benefits. Interested applicants thus receive a flexible and reliable financing opportunity for projects in the areas of social affairs, health, education and training, as well as infrastructure, which make a sustainable contribution to elderly care.
