Funding of the Günther Weber Foundation

Funding from the Günther Weber Foundation supports non-profit organizations and foundations nationwide in social and educational projects. Projects are funded in the areas of child and youth welfare, upbringing & education, marriage and family protection, sports promotion, as well as Icelandic horse breeding/sports. The foundation grants a one-time or multi-year subsidy with a funding rate of up to 85% of eligible expenses, including material and personnel costs. A prerequisite is tax-privileged non-profit status as well as a personal contribution of at least 15% of the total costs. Since funds are awarded continuously, applications can be submitted at any time. A completed application form (PDF) forms the basis for the funding commitment.

The initiative is specifically aimed at non-profit associations and foundations that wish to sustainably implement social, educational, or nature conservation-related projects. Through the established funding, leisure activities for children and youth, educational programs, family support structures, sports events, or breeding projects can be financially secured and strengthened in terms of personnel. Experts from the foundation’s board review each application according to the statutory purposes and rely on transparent decision-making processes without any legal entitlement to funding. Thanks to the nationwide orientation, a diverse funding portfolio is created that sets effective impulses for non-profit engagement in different regions of Germany and promises long-term impact.
