Funding by the Hamburg Foundation for Housing and Participation

Since January 2023, the Hamburg Foundation for Housing and Participation has been promoting the quality of life of needy and severely disabled people in the Hanseatic City. As a legally capable foundation under civil law, it is committed to the rehabilitation as well as the professional and social integration of persons with disabilities and additionally supports people with low income and existential housing emergencies. Through three own residential buildings in Hamburg-Harburg, the foundation provides barrier-reduced living space, thereby ensuring a stable basis for a self-determined life. The continuously available grant can be flexibly used for individual support measures – whether for therapeutic services, professional qualification measures, or integrative projects of non-profit organizations.

Individuals with severe disabilities or proven neediness, as well as non-profit organizations and public institutions based in Hamburg, are eligible to apply. Submission is possible at any time and is uncomplicated: a cover letter stating the purpose of funding, a CV or proof of sponsorship, as well as official proof of disability or neediness form the basis of the application. The foundation purposefully awards financial resources to remove barriers and improve long-term participation opportunities. Decisions on funding commitments are made taking individual needs into account and contribute to sustainably strengthening social inclusion in Hamburg.
